Things go round in a loop, don't they? First I wanted to go to the Erie Canal because I loved this version of this song
but now I love the song for reminding me of walking there with witty. Can you hire canal boats and go up and down the Erie Canal - like from Albany to Buffalo?
This is me: This is witty: and this is the Erie Canal:
I had a soothing day with Sara but it feels like long, long ago, what with being the other side of a hideous journey back in the dark. First I skidded, briefly but electrifyingly, on the bend of the slip road between the M20 and the M25 and veered all over the place, across all three lanes which were thankfully empty, but with nowhere at all to pull over because that emptiness was a momentary gap between massive lorries thundering right up close to the hard shoulder. So I had to hold myself together and keep going, but within ten minutes one of these fucking lorries cut me up, forcing me over into the path of some bastard with headlights coming up at a million miles an hour who had to slam on the brakes not to shoot straight up my arse, and there was blowing of horns and shrieking of brakes and I tell you, I didn't like it one little bit.
But it was lovely, great and fab to see bloody Sara, I tell you. We just mooched about, from her room to a caff, then back to chill out and watch a film (The Life Aquatic), then to a cheap but lovely Japanese caff and back for some X Factor. She gave me this Jarvis poster then nicked it:
