annanotbob's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Whooah, we're half way there Busy busy, knackered, pictures: Me and Banksy:
I feel proud and happy to live in a city that puts up a sheet of plastic to ensure the endurance of a picture of two policemen kissing. Not so proud of the fact that I've walked past it a million times and only noticed it yesterday. Ah well. I was on my way to London, to meet lovely stepfordtart and tstough, though my camera didn't have a card in, so Stepfie was in charge of photography, and there'll be more about that another day. Fab though, just fab. We went down Portobello Road as the book I'm reading is set there and I've had this song in my head ever since I started reading it: (Cat Stevens was my first big pop-start crush and that track's from the first album I bought, in 1967) There wasn't much of a market going on, not considering the puff it gets, but what was there was good. I liked these, but didn't buy one:
I hardly ever go to London so am still impressed by things like St Paul's suddenly looming at you between blocks of offices:
Grateful for: diaryland and all the consequences thereof; warm sun in small bursts; finding the energy to clean the kitchen only just after it started to smell disgusting; Sara and I having survived another session of brutal honesty; scrummy dinner
