MOMA and stuff
So, yesterday we went to the city, which required some careful planning:
San Francisco, what can I say? I felt like I was in a movie. The architecture, the hills, the voices of the people passing by...
We started with a visit to MOMA, which I can honestly say is the best art gallery I've ever been to. I liked the light and space, the lack of distracting fussiness and the manageable size. I know the Louvre and the Prado have more, but for me there's too much and it all starts blurring into each other. MOMA left me wanting more, which is a better way to leave a place.
We had a great meal at a Cuban voodoo-style restaurant and a little bit of thrift-store shopping:
Please note that I do have a flower in my hair. I've been waiting forty-two years to go to San Francisco with a flower in my hair. I may be a lttle late, but I wasn't missing my chance.
Then it was time to meet dear, beautiful enfinblue, which after a moment or two felt like bumping into an old friend:
Through all of this, Boxx's grand-daughter gurgled and chuckled and grinned and won the heart of everyone we passed. She is utterly adorable, just scrummy:
Today has been quieter because to be honest I've had a bit of a wobble, not helped by bloody diaryland being unavailable most of the day, leaving me feeling quite bereft.
We did a yoga class though, which was just heaven. A nice workout, not too strenuous, very flowing and smooth, then a long, deep relaxation, with a beautiful instructor.
Followed by a shrimp quesadilla and now Dancing with the Stars. All good.
Just wish I could pop home and hug my bad babies for a moment or two.
Grateful for: yoga, friends, internet, sunshine on my skin for a few brief hours and, most of all today, dear Boxx9000
