annanotbob's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'd hammer in the morning
Last night Sara phoned me at about 1 am, pissed, from a field in Kent to ask if I'd come and fetch her and Louisa. Non. Fuck 'em, they're both 25 and when I'd asked them how they were planning on getting back from the Boosh fest, they'd both waved their arms about and said airily, 'Oh, you know, it'll work out.' And it did. I took a sleeping pill and turned my phone off. They wandered around country lanes in a drunken haze, eventually bedding down for the night in a bus shelter (they think):
but they got chucked out by the rough sleepers who were already there, for making too much noise. They bunked the train this morning. Bad girls. I love my sleeping pills though, because without them I'd have worried about the bloody girls so much I'd have gone looking for them, and they can piss off, counting on me when they can't be arsed to sort themselves out. Ha. Today has been cold and wet and windy - almost enough to turn the heating back on. I've done sod all really, except remember the cardie I was knitting and get started on the first sleeve, and watch the Wimbledon men's final. Exhuasting, all that tension, and I don't even give a shit. Jane tells me she was shouting at the telly in her excitement. The latest wheeze from my PC is a little electronic double beep which recurs every couple of minutes and is driving me fucking nuts. Apart from that, the sound is not working at all, so no music. Grateful for: Rain on the lawn; long curly hair; Bobalicious: Pleased to have started my knitting again Sweet dreams, honeybuns, xx |10:48 p.m. - 06/07/2008 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
